About

Butterstone Pet Boarding is run by Terry Kemp and Chris Johns, who care deeply about animal welfare and have spent more than ten years working with and caring for animals.

Their story began in 2007 when together they set up Happy Endings animal rescue in Sevenoaks, Kent, a charity that rescues and rehomes domestic pets as well as providing a long-term home to the many animals and birds that live on site, including farm animals, horses, goats, parrots and other species.

In 2011 Terry and Chris relocated Happy Endings Rescue to the ten-acre site they now occupy near Faversham, intent on creating a caring and secure environment that caters for animals in all their needs, whether that be day boarding, or overnight boarding for a couple of nights, or a forever home. The result is an extraordinary  community of temporary and long-term residents – a magical animal sanctuary that is much loved by the owners, the workforce and all who visit.

Terry and Chris live on site and are constantly developing it to meet their high standards, so you can be confident that your pet is safe, secure and resplendent with creature comforts!
