Terms and Conditions

1. All reasonable care will be taken to ensure the safety and well-being of the animals, which are boarded entirely at the owner’s risk. No animal will be accepted without a current vaccination certificate.

2. The proprietor has the owner’s authority to call for veterinary help that they consider appropriate.

3. The proprietor accepts no liability for damage, illness, injury, or death sustained between home, Butterstone, the veterinary surgery, or any other place, nor for any illness that may be contracted during boarding, including accidents or death.

4. The proprietor reserves the right to re-home any animals not collected within 15 days of the stated collection date. It is up to the owner to advise in the event of a delay.

5. The proprietor encourages the owner to provide species-appropriate toys, chews, and treats to be provided to the pet during their stay. The items will be checked for daily wear and tear and removed if necessary, however, the owner accepts the risk of such enrichment, and will provide information to the proprietor if the animal has any reason that this should be avoided. Dogs will have access to toys provided by the proprietor during exercise but only toys/chews provided by the owner will be allowed inside the kennel.

6. If you give permission for your dog to be exercised by the Butterstone staff with dogs from other households, we require an email or letter confirming that you are consenting to the group exercise. You understand that there are risks associated with group socialisation and there may be the occasional disagreement or rough-housing during play, the results for which neither the proprietor nor staff member is responsible. If they are to be exercised with other dogs then you agree they are to be mixed with dogs that the proprietor deems as suitable, or only with the dogs you have notified us of by name.

7. Items from home accepted during the handover will be recorded, however, the proprietor accepts no liability for their loss or damage.
